Angel Investing

Hosted by the New Venture SIG with sponsorship from the SV Software
Association, it is our distinct pleasure to announce the New Venture
SIG workshop on the state of angel investing for July 24th in a
conversation with Mr. John van Dyke where John will discuss the
current state of angel investing and answer your questions. So,
prepare your questions for an informative workshop.

Speaker:

John Van Dyke has invested in over 100 Silicon Valley startups over
the past 12 years. He is a member of the Band of Angels and has
invested often along side of Chase and Hambrecht & Quist. He is
currently on the Boards of Voice Access Technologies, Zingdata,
Extreme Data, WebPackaging Corp. , and Zephyr-Tec. 

He is also a President of Dakota Water Systems, a seawater and
brackish water purification company headquartered in San Mateo, CA.
Since 1989. Dakota Water Systems owns and operates 35 desalination
plants in the Far East and the Caribbean. Prior to that Mr. Van Dyke
owned and operated a group of  12 Midwestern Banks for 19 years. He
has had several positions as an interim CEO and CFO.

Mr. Van Dyke earned an AB with High Distinction in Economics at
Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
