Silicon Valley Software Technology Association
is a volunteer based, California State registered non-profit organization,
headquartered in the Silicon Valley. It was established in 2001 and has over
1,100 general members this far. Its goal is to promote technological, professional
and scientific development in the software industry.
SVSoftware believes the success of new technology
development and new high-tech business in this era depend on free information flow and knowledge flow.
It strives to build an environment and platform which allow all parties, including
individual professionals, entreprenuers, and business, to have an easy and friendly
atmosphere to exchange information and ideas.
To facilitate free information flow, SVSoftware
organizes events which allow members to meet and communicate with each others. These events
include: seminars, workshops, forum, special interest group, study group, conference,
business mixer, and business delegation.
SVSoftware's membership is open to any one who works
in any sectors of software industry or who is interested in the development in software industry.
It encourages and welcomes people from all over the world to join and participate its activities
in the format they can even though most of its current members are from the Silicon Valley.
Currently, it already has very wide range of member profiles: from R&D developers and engineers to sales and
marketing veterans, to entreprenuers; from global enterprise employees to startup executives;
from technical guru to students; from professionals who provide business service to software
business to business who are in need of software technologies. Among those, the biggest crowd
is from developers, software business executives, and entreprenuers.
SVSoftware focuses on development in the software
industry while cooperating with other organizations on related industries and technologies
since cross field cooperation becomes more and more critical to business success today.
It also works with companies and organizations to explore professional and business
opportunities for its members to make new technologies and business be more successful.
